Walnut Creek Saves recently had the privilege to speak in front of the Rotary Club of Walnut Creek. Two of our Conservation Coaches, Lorcan and Kaipo, presented about our program and their involvement. They did an excellent job speaking to the club members and informing them of our good work throughout the community.
Kaipo Vevera is one of the student Conservation Coaches for Walnut Creek Saves. He is now much further into the job and has accomplished much more than at the beginning. As a program we have completed over 100 consultations since our launch in February! Kaipo has had the opportunity to speak to countless Walnut Creek residents and pass on energy and water saving recommendations to his community.

He has been with the program now for almost half a year and has have thoroughly enjoyed every moment he's had working with the residents of Walnut Creek to save them energy and water and lower their bills. Recently, he conducted outreach at the Lindsay Wildlife Experience and was able to teach children how to conserve energy and water in their homes.
Recently, Walnut Creek Saves had the opportunity to attend the Pleasant Hill Instructional Garden’s Earth Day event. Several speakers provided information about California’s drought history, ways to improve water conservation, and the importance of planting native species.
