Let’s Recycle!

A few days ago, Anna Meehan and a fellow Conservation Coach worked an outreach event in front of the Ygnacio Valley Library in Walnut Creek. Their goal for the afternoon was to receive sign-ups for our free, in-home energy and water consultations, and explain Walnut Creek Saves to every passer-by. There were many kids wanting quick fun and entertainment. To satisfy this request, Anna and her coworker had an educational recycling game at the booth!

The New Intern

For Omar Zaifulizan, being a Conversation Coach has been a great experience! He gets to talk to a variety of people who happen to be in town or Walnut Creek residents themselves, and has been to many events! As a Conversation Coach, he has only touched the surface of his duties, and he is very excited to go to more events as well as assisting with a home consultation!

Learning on the Job

Anthony Belavitch has really enjoyed being a Conservation Coach for Walnut Creek Saves and seeing other people appreciate the work that we do. It is really rewarding when people say that they went through with the consultation and are now saving more money on their water and electricity bills. Hearing this makes him feel like what we are doing is really helping. It is amazing to give back to the community and help save the environment.
