What is Walnut Creek Saves?
Walnut Creek Saves is a program that helps homeowners and renters lower their energy and water bills. Walnut Creek Saves is a City-sponsored, residential efficiency program. Our goals are to help residents save energy, water, and money, as well as boost the local economy. Walnut Creek Saves also employs local high school students, like myself, and trains them to become Conservation Coaches to help residents during free home consultations and conduct outreach around Walnut Creek.
Walnut Creek Saves conducts outreach at various events/locations around Walnut Creek, such as the Walnut Creek library, the Walnut Festival, the Diablo Valley Farmer’s Market, and more. Maybe you have seen us at one of these locations before! If you do see us table at an event or location, and you do sign up in person for our consultations, you will be entered into a raffle for an item that can help save either energy or water!
When you sign up for a free home consultation with Walnut Creek Saves, we come to your house at your own availability. The benefits you receive for signing up for a home consultation is great! If you plan on signing up you can save $15-20 a month with our help, and you can receive free energy and water efficiency products for your home such as LED bulbs.
We also pair our home consultations with a free energy-saving online account called EnergyCenter. EnergyCenter will help you keep track of your personal electricity and natural gas usage as well as provide you with rebates information and guides to save energy and water.
Overall, Walnut Creek Saves is an amazing program with a ton of benefits!
